I
blogged about seekwatcher a couple of days ago - it's great for producing charts from blktrace - however, I wasn't totally happy with the graph output. I wanted to be able to graph the data based on a tunable sample rate. So I've hacked up a
script using awk and gnuplot to do this.
To run, suppose I've generated blktrace files readtest.blktrace.0 and readtest.blktrace.1 and I want a graph generated with 0.25 seconds per point, then do:
./generate-read-graph blktrace readtest.blktrace. 0.25This generates a gnuplot file graph-reads.png, for example:
Now I'm happier with these results.
