Fabrice Bellard, Software Genius...(?)

There are a select few people in the world who just keep on producing amazingly useful and cool open source software, over and over again. Take Fabrice Bellard for example; he has contributed so much over the past few years, his work is most incredible. Here are a few of the projects he's created and developed:

QEMU - A machine emulator/virtualiser.
FFMPEG - A cross platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video.
TCC - A small and fast fully formed ISOC99 C compiler. It can also be used to treat C source as a script.
TCCBOOT - A bootloader able to compile and boot the Linux kernel directly from the source code!
TinyGL - Subset of OpenGL, small + fast!
Pi computation - fastest formula to find the Nth binary digit of Pi - also largest value of Pi
QEmacs - The Quick Emacs clone
A Web Scientific Calculator which includes plotting functions
Harissa, a Java Virtual Machine
stat-1.0, a PPM compressor

..to name but a few... Anyhow, if you want to see more of his amazing work, check out Farbrice's Website.

It's really inspiring to see this kind of technical excellence and producitivity. One wonders what will be Fabrice's next project...
